Italy was the first member state to pass a national law on artificial intelligence, which came into force on the day of our meeting, 10 October 2025.<\/p>\n<p>The common rules on accessibility in the EU, the <a href=\"https:\/\/commission.europa.eu\/strategy-and-policy\/policies\/justice-and-fundamental-rights\/disability\/union-equality-strategy-rights-persons-disabilities-2021-2030\/european-accessibility-act_en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">European Accessibility Act<\/a>, were also discussed, in particular the resulting challenges, but also the resulting market opportunities and the promotion of cross-border trade were presented and discussed.<\/p>\n<p>The German contribution dealt, among other things, with the current status of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.consilium.europa.eu\/en\/press\/press-releases\/2025\/06\/12\/eu-insolvency-law-member-states-agree-position-on-bringing-national-insolvency-standards-closer\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">EU Directive \u2018harmonising certain aspects of insolvency law\u2019<\/a>, for which the framework of the planned directive is already largely in place.<\/p>\n<p>Host <a href=\"https:\/\/earn-network.eu\/start\/dein-advogados-en\/\">Cristina Dein, DEIN Advogados<\/a>, Portugal, showed us the sunny and lively city of Porto at its very best.
