This year’s meeting of European EARN partners was once again characterised by a very intensive and inspiring exchange on the political, economic and legal challenges in the respective member states and supported by the common idea of further developing Europe into a capital markets union.
This year’s focus included the EU Artificial Intelligence Act, presented by Dr Stefanie Mehrens from Milan. Italy was the first member state to pass a national law on artificial intelligence, which came into force on the day of our meeting, 10 October 2025.
The common rules on accessibility in the EU, the European Accessibility Act, were also discussed, in particular the resulting challenges, but also the resulting market opportunities and the promotion of cross-border trade were presented and discussed.
Host Cristina Dein, DEIN Advogados, Portugal, showed us the sunny and lively city of Porto at its very best. We are happy to take the spirit of the EARN meeting with us into the European autumn and are already looking forward to the next meeting in Milan in 2026.
